Once you FIND this place it’s good. Nice area , close to a canal and bars ( one was noisy off and on until at least 12.30am) Signage here is appalling. See photos. There’s a cafe called Il fiore a couple of houses down - the waitress had to show us to the hotel. Not really a hotel as we would be used to.. just floors of accommodation and the downstairs just looked like someone’s home with a desk. But a lovely young guy saw us and checked us in. There was a lift thank god! We had already had enough from flying into amsterdams schipol airport. I can think of another name for THAT airport. The room. I booked a deluxe- slightly larger room. Very nice , large room , spotlessly clean and a large well appointed bathroom with a warm floor. Great smelling toiletries! View to the road and down the street. Only negative. No tea/ coffee. Yes there was green tea and sugar. We are not fans of green tea and after a long day dealing with schipol- I needed a proper Tea/ coffee. No spoons to stir the sugar in also. It sat like a lump at the bottom of the cup. We had to find a grocery store after a long day to get stuff. ( tea, coffee, milk) BUT everything else was great. Taxi was arranged for us . Loved the room. I’d stay again now I know what to look for. SIGNAGE GUYS … it’s important for a business. Large bed… super comfy. Great linen.

We had the top floor superior room, it had great views and the bed was so comfy. It's actually called Café Linden, which was surprising - went to Il Fiore only to be told we had to go 2 doors down. It was clean and in a great location, and had a mini fridge. For £150 per night, the room itself could do with a bit of attention: the wardrobe door wouldn't shut properly, there was a little bit of mould on the shower seal and the water pressure wasn't great, and the air con vent was really loud even when turned off. I did get woken up a few times with the noise of the lift too. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, but the only time we saw them was when we checked in, even though it says their office hours are 8:30-23:00. It was quite frustrating when on our last day at 8:45 we wanted to leave our bags in reception before our museum slot, but no one was around... we had to lug our bags to the museum quarter and pay for a locker. Despite this, I would still recommend this hotel.

I made the booking in July 2022, received the confirmation email, went to the hotel when it was supposed to be and they told me they couldn't find the booking. There were no rooms available because the hotel was full, so I found myself with my 2 month old baby and my wife in the street without any place to sleep. No other possibilities proposed, only that there was no rooms available. No reception by the way, everything by phone.

Really great location. Loved all the restaurants and cafes in the street, had italian and argentinian food just a short walk away. The hotel room is basic, the hand towels were not replaced and there is noone on reception to ask for a replacement. The bed was comfortable and it was reasonably quiet. Lots of daytime noise due to renovations but not a problem. Black mould in the silicone in the shower which is not ideal. Hotel needs improvement but a good option in Amsterdam Hotel coul

There was black mold in the bathroom and it made me so sick overnight with the poor ventilation in the room that I had to get steroids sent from the SOS international doctor’s service. When we told the front desk staff, he said he would look at it the following day and was unable to change us rooms or give us a refund. (If you know anything about black mold you can’t just clean it away.) We were honeymooning and, unfortunately, had to leave the hotel immediately. My husband started having symptoms that next day as well. Additionally; the room sizes are incredibly small even by Europe’s standards. We had two of us and two bags and couldn’t fit. On the upside, the hotel is in a really cute area that’s very walkable. Great cafe across the street.
